Privacy Policy

Who we are

Bloom Reviews (“Bloom”, “we”, “us”) is a Canadian review management service for local businesses, operated from Ontario. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. Questions go to hello@bloomreviews.ca.

What we collect

From business owners: your name, email, business name, location details, and billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.

From customers of our business clients: when you scan a Bloom QR code and rate a visit, we collect your star rating, and depending on the business's settings, your email address, phone number, and any written feedback you choose to leave. This information is shared with the business you rated so they can follow up with you. It is not sold, and it is not used to market to you.

From demo call requests: the name, business, and contact details you submit so we can schedule the call.

How we use it

To run the service: routing feedback to the right business, showing businesses their own dashboard, sending discount codes you request, and generating summaries of feedback. We use an AI service (Anthropic) to summarize review and feedback themes for business owners; feedback text is processed for that purpose and the summaries belong to the business.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run our infrastructure: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Anthropic (AI summaries). Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

How long we keep it

Business account data is kept while the account is active. Customer ratings and feedback are kept so the business can see its history; a business closing its account removes its data from the service. You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@bloomreviews.ca and we'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep business owners logged in and anonymous analytics to understand how the site is used. No advertising trackers.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it here with a new date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
